Zorveta One

Offline mode

Keep selling when the internet drops

What keeps working when your restaurant internet goes down: offline orders on the POS and handhelds, and the store hub for screens and printing.

  • Offline POS and handheld
  • Store hub

When the internet drops, the POS and handheld keep taking orders and send them when the connection returns. The store hub also keeps kitchen screens and printing running without the internet, so service carries on and nothing has to be re-entered afterwards.

The problem, in an owner’s words

“It is seven on a Friday and the internet is down.”
Orders keep going into the POS, and with the store hub the kitchen keeps getting its tickets.

How it works

  1. 1

    Detect the outage

The device tells staff it is offline so nobody guesses.

  2. 2

    Keep entering orders

Orders are held on the device.

  3. 3

    Sync when back

Held orders are sent once the connection returns.

What is in offline mode

  • Store hub

A small device in the store that keeps orders, kitchen screens and printing running when the internet is out.

  • No-duplicate sync

How each order carries a unique ID so that a reconnect does not send the same order twice.

Sample orders

  1. 1. Online

Orders are entered and sent as normal.

  2. 2. Internet off

An Offline banner shows. New orders are held on the device and counted.

  3. 3. Back online

Held orders are sent when the connection returns.

  4. Kitchen screens and printing

These keep working through the store hub.

Text version: Orders keep being entered when the internet is switched off, then are sent when it comes back.
