Voids: with a reason and a name
Void an item or a check with a required reason, a manager approval where you want one, and a record of who did it.
Voids removes an item or a check from the books and records who did it and why. You decide which reasons exist and which voids need a manager. The record is kept so you can see patterns by person and by shift, and so a missing item is never a mystery.
When you would use it
“A cook drops a plate and the server needs to remove the item and remake it.”
“A guest changes an order after it was sent to the kitchen.”
“An owner wants to know why voids are higher on one shift than another.”
